Well as some of you guys already know I am studying for the CISSP exam. https://www.isc2.org/cgi-bin/content.cgi?category=1331 CISSP is an acronym for Certified Information Systems Security Professional. It is said to be the hardest and longest exam in the industry. I registered for the exam on Thursday night and as long as my registration doesn’t get rejected I will be taking the exam in Tampa on December 15.
Wish me luck…

I’m a little late writing this one, but here goes…
My Father’s Day turned out very good. Woke up and hung out with Chandler. Then when Lenny woke up she made us some awesome breakfast. (Lenny is a great cook!) Chandler was with me the whole day, which is all I ask for. Chandler made me a card with the help of Lenny. Then Lenny gave me some great gifts: a barbeque recipe book, barbecue magazine, Daddy picture frame and a great Spanish learning 3 CD set. Thank you Lenny, my wonderful fiance. In the afternoon we went to Gramma and Grampa’s house and we spent time with my parents and Melissa, Nick, Emily and Amber. Then I got to grill our dinner! Steaks and bratwurst… mmmm yummy! (I LOVE TO GRILL!)
Gramma made a wonderful dessert for everyone.
We did take pictures… look out for them in a couple of days. Happy Father’s Day Dad, Nick (my brother in law) and all my fellow Dads.
Thanks to everyone for a great Father’s Day!

Check this out! The Glamazons performed Lady Marmalade on America’s Got Talent about a week ago. I’ve gotta say I enjoyed this very much!
They sing very good, too!

Chandler graduated Preschool this past week! He goes to a very good daycare and they incorporate education in their schedule/curriculum. He will now be moving up to the next age group. Also, all of the kids in his class made an “All About Me” flip book. It is very cool! Just a brief description: picture of Chandler on the cover and inside lots of characteristics, likes/dislikes, hand and foot prints. For a little bit of privacy on the web, I won’t say the name of the daycare. Here is a scan of his diploma!

Chandler finished his first season of soccer! Chandler and his cousin Emily signed up for soccer several months ago for the first time. The first couple of practices and games were hard, because Chandler kept walking off of the field. After some practices and games he finally started enjoying the game more and stopped walking off of the field. He enjoys playing soccer very much and I enjoy practicing with him.
Here is a scan of his soccer pictures that we just received in the mail.

We went to the Orlando Wedding Show on January 7th. It was at the Wyndham Orlando Resort and it turned out to be pretty cool. It was quite long…we were there from 1pm – 6pm. There were lots of vendors selling their services, but since we are having our wedding in Puerto Rico most were not able to help us. After about two hours they started a fashion show. To keep the women happy there were tons of chocolate and to keep the men happy there was beer!
There were plenty of chances for us to win something by raffle tickets, but we ended up not winning anything. Some of the bigger prizes were honeymoon packages, wedding dress, tuxedos, etc. There is another wedding show in April, though, and we’ll probably be there! And hopefully we’ll win something. Wish us luck!

We had a really great Christmas. It started out on Christmas Eve when we went over to my parent’s house to give gifts to my Mom’s side of the family. Then we came home and Santa left a present for us to open and turned on our lights (that’s what we told Chandler). Lenny got us our traditional Christmas Eve pajamas. We watched a little bit of the Santa Clause movie, then left a piece of chocolate for Santa and sent Chandler to bed. After we woke up on Christmas morning we looked at the tree and there were presents under it (gotta keep the Santa Claus effect going for Chandler). To name a few of our gifts: Chandler got spiderman stuff, digital camera, clothes, etc. Lenny got her 10k white gold hearts bracelet, boombox, thumbdrive. I got money (mucho dinero) for clothes and stuff, World’s greatest Dad book with picture of me and Chandler, etc. Lenny and I bought an HP printer/scanner/copier and a new charcoal grill for us. On Christmas afternoon we went back over to my parent’s house to give gifts to them and then we went over to my grandparent’s house (my dad’s parents) to give gifts and visit. Chandler had to be dropped off at his Mother’s at 3pm on Christmas and we enjoyed every minute with him. He gets so excited about Christmas and Santa Claus.
Thank you to all of you who sent cards, exchanged gifts and shared Christmas with us. Take a look at the pictures by clicking on Pictures link or by clicking here.

Chandler was in his school’s Christmas program on December 12. He goes to 1st United Methodist Preschool and Childcare on Mondays. Chandler was in “The Awesome Threes” group and they sang three songs. The songs were: Bells Are Ringing, Five Little Candles and Happy Hallelula Christmas. He had fun and tried his best to sing the songs. Take a look at the pictures by clicking on the pictures link or by clicking here.

My apologies for not posting in a little over a month…
In October;
Chandler turned 4 years old on October 5. Man does time fly… We decided to have a pool party with just Gramma, Grampa, Solenia and I. Chandler had so much fun. Birthday pictures can be found in the pictures section or by clicking here. FYI…we forgot to bring the camera to the pool, so the pics are of us inside celebrating.
We took a trip to Puerto Rico to be with Solenia’s Dad on the 13th. Solenia’s Dad got into a bad car accident the day before and broke some ribs and misaligned a couple discs in his neck. We arrived and went right to the hospital. Her Dad was in bad shape, so Solenia and her sisters spent everyday helping him out. The hospital he was in was not that great, the surroundings and the high security. He had to be at the particular hospital because of the surgeons that were at the hospital. We were told that he was supposed to have surgery right away, but that didn’t happen. We stayed with Solenia’s older sister at her house in Manati. This was my first time to Puerto Rico and Solenia and her older sister took me around to the mountains in Ciales, which in my eyes was breathtaking. We left on the 17th, but before we left I had to take the opportunity to ask Solenia’s father, in person, for his daughter’s hand in marriage and he gladly said yes. I asked him privately, because I wanted to surprise Solenia with the proposal very soon. On the way to the airport in San Juan, Solenia’s older sister’s husband took us to old San Juan and drove along the coast and drove by the forts. Take a look at the pictures…
Chandler got his 4 year pictures taken at JCPenney. The pictures turned out great! Take a look at them in the pictures section or by clicking here.
In the first week of November;
Bobby proposed to Solenia! That’s right I finally did it. I planned this out for more than 2 weeks. Solenia ended up being very surprised. It seemed like she figured out that I was going to propose, but she did not know when and where, etc. I did it at the Olive Garden in Sanford. We also celebrated my Mother’s birthday at the dinner…Happy Birthday Gramma! Thanks to the help of my Mother during the whole process and the waitress for her cooperation while I proposed. I ended up having the waitress act as if she was going to take a picture of Solenia and I (when my Mother “went to the bathroom” with Chandler), but instead of me getting next to Solenia for a picture, I got down on one knee, pulled out the ring box and said my shpeel about her then asked if she would marry me. The waitress must have told the other staff at Olive Garden before hand, because when I started to do the proposal staff members congregated around our section to watch. After I proposed we got up to hug and everyone around us applauded. It was great! It worked out perfectly…just the way I wanted it. I planned it the way that I thought Solenia would want it.
I have pictures of the proposal and the dinner, click here to see.
Solenia went back to Puerto Rico for her Dad’s surgery on the 6th. He made it through the surgery and he is doing much better now. He got released from the hospital today (11/08/06). It took about 3 weeks for him to recover and it was a tough couple of weeks for Solenia and her two sisters. We are very happy that he is doing good and out of the hospital.

That’s right, I finished and passed the certification process to earn the Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) certification. If you are not sure what this certification means, it means that I am certified to do computer forensic examinations/investigations. It took over a year of hard work to complete both the computer forensics course and the CCE certification process. My certification number is 579, so I am one of 579 persons who have earned this certification, thus far. Look for my name on the following websites http://isfce.com/list.htm and http://certified-computer-examiner.com/list.htm. I really enjoy doing computer examinations and it is a very rewarding field. Also, this gives me a free membership in The International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners.
*Update*
Take a look at the new computer forensics services section at my employers website www.idsnetwork.com/cf.htm. I wrote this up myself without my bio and my boss actually had me add a brief bio of myself to the end. I’m pretty proud of this…
