First off, I posted pictures from each recent holiday event that we celebrated: Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Bierly / Pecunia family get togethers and Three Kings Day (Día de los Reyes) in the photos section… check them out!
From get together’s at our house and gramma’s to celebrating the new year with family and friends at the river house. I have to say that this was the busiest and most family filled holiday season yet. I think this was a very special holiday season for Lenny, because she was able to spend so much time with her family. On the morning of Christmas Eve Lenny, Chandler Veronica and I woke up and exchanged gifts (Chandler and Veronica were not going to be with us on Christmas morning). That night, after driving around looking at Christmas lights, we picked up Lenny’s Dad, Teddy, from the airport. Teddy flew in from Puerto Rico and stayed with us until January 7.
On Christmas, Lenny, Teddy, Chandler, Veronica (Lenny’s niece) and I went to gramma’s house to exchange gifts and have dinner with my parents, and my sister’s family. After that we went to Gabbie’s house and visited with Lenny’s sister’s family. Gabbita (Lenny’s niece) and Tito (Veronica’s Dad) were visiting from Puerto Rico.
Next was the Bierly Christmas / Pecunia family get together on the 30th. We went to my parents house that afternoon and my Mom’s side of the family congregated there. We exchanged gifts, had dinner together and had lots of fun. That evening Lenny’s family came over to my parents for a little while and then Lenny’s family came to our house for a big get together. Lenny’s Mom was visiting from Puerto Rico, also.
New Years Eve was spent at Aunt Diane and Uncle John’s river house. We drove to Astor to celebrate new year’s eve with some family and friends. They had food, beer, bonfire, fireworks and a Wii game system setup outside. It was a lot of fun. Chandler the party animal stayed up and had so much fun with us and Uncle Nick and Aunt Melissa.
Three Kings Day (Dia de los Reyes) started out by us going to Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee for the annual Three Kings Day celebration. This year was the first time we went and we had fun. Chandler might have had the most fun, because they had around 5 bounce houses and he got to go in most of them. Later that evening, Gabbie’s family came over to celebrate Three Kings Day with us. I cooked lots of food on the grill and after dinner we exchanged gifts.
I hope everyone had great holidays and were able to spend time with their families.
